Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will maintain hotel guest rooms and public spaces by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs, as well, jointly supervise the maintenance attendants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve upon hotel guest rooms, restaurant, health club facilities, and additional public areas by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs.
Effective and timely interaction with all hotel departments and positively impact the guest experience by effectively and efficiently resolving maintenance concerns.
Motivate, train and lead maintenance personnel by personal example with a philosophy of work conduct, enthusiasm and personal development that leads to maximum performance and job satisfaction.
Maintain the hot tub and pool by ensuring a safe chemical balance through frequent testing.
Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times and that all colleagues are committed to working safely.
Work safely – Obey all health and safety policies.
Maintain the safety and upkeep of guest areas in the indoor and outdoor spaces of the property including the removal of snow and ice and other hazards.
Additional duties may be assigned to help meet guest needs.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience:

The ability to motivate and lead employees in a busy, high quality environment.
A background in electrical and/or plumbing is an asset.
Pool Operators Certificate would be considered an asset.
Valid Class 5 driver license.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
Task orientated and results driven.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
A positive team player attitude and a strong willingness to learn.

English Fluency
