Our Mission
At Bow Valley Palliative, our mission is to provide compassionate, individualized palliative care and grief support to individuals and families throughout the Bow Valley. We are dedicated to ensuring that no one has to face these challenging times alone, offering the care and support they need close to home.

Our vision is to create a community where every individual has easy, barrier-free access to high-quality, compassionate care throughout their palliative journey. By collaborating with local partners, we aim to empower individuals to live with dignity, comfort, and support in their own community, surrounded by the care of family and loved ones.

Our Story – A journey of passion and community
Bow Valley Palliative’s journey began with a group of passionate volunteers—residents of the Bow Valley—who believed that individuals diagnosed with a life-changing illness should have the option to stay close to home for care. This belief sparked the creation of our organization, driven by a deep commitment to community and compassionate care.

In 2016, we became a registered charity and, over the years, have built a strong foundation of support through our programs and a dedicated team of over 90 volunteers. Thanks to generous donations and grants, we’re able to offer these services at no cost to individuals and their caregivers, helping them navigate the resources available in the Bow Valley, reducing the need for travel, and improving quality of life.
