WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Grant & Donor Management Support

Receive, process, and record donor financial transactions, including data entry into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and QuickBooks Online
Accurately maintain and regularly update the donor database
Report generation from CRM and accounting systems
Assist in scheduling, preparing materials for, and following up on donor meetings
Execute donor relations strategies by ensuring timely donor acknowledgements according to recognition policies
Conduct administrative prospect research on potential donors and grant opportunities
Support grant writing and reporting under the supervision of the Director of Resource Development and Communications
Draft Case for Support documents as needed
Marketing and Communications Support

Support the coordination and execution of fundraising and engagement events, including logistics, communication materials, social media promotion, and follow-up communications
Prepare ticket and donation forms for events and fundraising initiatives
Support event committees
Administrative support of raffles, auctions, tax receipt dissemination and other charitable gaming activities related to events
Provide basic social media support, assisting with content collection and tracking.
Support the communications team in the preparation and dissemination of newsletters, updates, and donor communications.
Maintain the marketing/events calendar and assist with project management tools.
Track and report on the performance of marketing initiatives (events, email campaigns, social media, fundraising campaigns) to inform future strategies
Maintain organized files, shared drives, databases, and project management system
Undergo training to keep up to date with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Alberta Gaming, Liquor (AGLC) regulations for charities
Perform additional administrative duties as required to support the overall effectiveness of the Resource Development and Communications team

Position Details

This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some occasional evening and weekend work required; is based in Banff and eligible for a Hybrid work arrangement. Staff accommodation is available to all staff subject to availability.

Job Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Degree or Diploma in the area of Communications, Administration or similar
One to three years of related experience
Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills; professional, personable and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of individuals including C-Suite and high-level external partners
Superior planning, organizational, prioritization and time management skills
Self-starter, motivated to achieve results
Confidence and skill to oversee multiple calendars
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint
Experience with Monday, Canva, Givergy or Fundraising CRM software is an asset
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for event support
