Job Description
We’re looking for a motivated full-time, permanent Lead Timber Installer to join our team located in Exshaw, Alberta, completing innovative timber-framed structures and products. The main responsibilities are to provide support to the team with hands-on carpentry support on residential and commercial projects. Travel in the Bow Valley area is required.

Main Activities:
● Installation of shop-cut timber structures, CLT panels and glulam in the field (Mass Timber)
● Complete all carpentry tasks such as cutting, measuring, fastening, framing, and finishing of European & North American style timber frame structures and trusses
● Lead a crew of 3-5 people
● Assembly trusses and TF components on-site
● Laying out timber structures on site
● Complete all designs and layouts
● Assist with applying joinery to timbers
● Ensure calculation of all requirements to specifications
● Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and executing hands-on work with tools
● Ensure the job site is maintained

Job Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
● 5-10 years of experience in construction and framing is required
● Zoom Boom operators license and Aerial Work Platform certificate, Manlift Operators Ticket, Fall Protection ticket, First Aid and WHIMIS are required (or will be provided at candidates own time and expense. Compensation for certificates paid after 6 months of employment)
● Carpenter certification is an asset
● Experience in timber framing and rigging is an asset
● Strong verbal and written English skills required
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints with a high attention to detail
● Ability to communicate well, problem solve and use critical thinking
● Ability to lift heavy
● Valid driver’s license and own transportation required
● Travel outside the Bow Valley may be required and will be compensated
