Job Description
We’re excited to welcome a Junior Graphic Designer to our Valley Sign and Design team! If you’re someone who loves designing, hands-on work, has an eye for detail, and enjoys combining creativity with precision, this could be the perfect fit for you.
At Valley Sign and Design, we specialize in creating standout signage that enhances the visual identity of businesses across the Bow Valley. From large, custom-built cedar signs to smaller, intricate decals, we take pride in delivering high-quality, creative solutions that bring our client’s visions to life.
In this role, you’ll focus on designing and producing eye-catching signage, collaborating with customers to bring their ideas to life, and ensuring each project reflects creativity and quality. Key Responsibilities
Design, File Preparation, and Branding
-Bring ideas to life by creating and refining designs, including branding and logo development.
-Get files ready for printing with care and attention to detail.
-Ensure everything is print-perfect through thoughtful prepress work.
Printing and Production
-Set up and operate the printers and plotter with the right vinyl for each project.
-Laminate, weed, mask, and apply vinyl to various substrates.
Installation
-Apply vinyl graphics to walls and vehicles, making sure they look great and stick where they should.
-Install flat signs made from materials like aluminum and Sintra at various locations.
Customer Interaction and Site Visits
-Conduct site measurements and surveys.
-Visit customers to discuss project needs and handle inquiries.
-Communicate with customers via phone and email, including notifications about order readiness.
General Office and Shop Duties
-Assist with preparing estimates and quotes for customer projects.
-Conduct routine maintenance on printers and plotters to keep equipment in top condition.
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular office cleaning tasks.

Job Requirements
-A diploma in Graphic Design with strong proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite is required.
-Previous experience in signage, printing, or vinyl installation is a strong asset.
-Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
-A positive attitude and willingness to take on diverse tasks in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
