Job Description

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join Valley Sign and Design! If you’re passionate about design, enjoy hands-on work, and have a sharp eye for detail, this could be the perfect role for you.
In this position, you’ll design eye-catching signage, create assets for print and digital use, and collaborate with customers to bring their ideas to life. You’ll also engage in the production process, using wide-format printers and vinyl to bring your creative visions to life.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Design, File Prep, and Branding
• Turn ideas into reality by designing eye-catching signage, logos, and branding elements.
• Get files print-ready with precision and attention to detail.
• Make sure every project looks its best with thoughtful prepress work.

Printing and Production
• Set up and operate our wide format printers and plotter with the right vinyl for each project.
• Laminate, weed, mask, and apply vinyl to different materials – bringing designs to life.

Installation
• Apply vinyl graphics to windows, walls and vehicles, making sure they look sharp and last.
• Install flat signs made from aluminum, Sintra, and other materials in various locations.

Customer Interaction and Site Visits
• Head out on-site to take measurements and assess project needs.
• Meet with customers to bring their ideas to life and keep them in the loop.
• Handle calls and emails, including updates on project progress.

General Office and Shop Duties
• Assist with preparing estimates and quotes for customer projects.
• Keep our printers and plotters in top shape with routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace – because a tidy shop is a happy shop!

Job Requirements

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a creative, skilled, and motivated Graphic Designer who is ready to bring ideas to life and take ownership of their work. Our ideal candidate will have:

• A strong design background - A diploma in Graphic Design and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (plus the rest of Adobe Creative Suite).
• Creativity and an eye for detail - You know how to make designs that stand out and get noticed.
• Excellent communication skills - Both verbal and written. You’ll be working closely with customers and teammates to bring projects to life.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills - You can juggle multiple projects, troubleshoot challenges, and keep things running smoothly.
• A positive attitude and openness to feedback - You take constructive criticism in stride and use it to refine your designs without getting discouraged.
• A fast learner mindset - You're eager to grow, take initiative, and continuously improve your skills.
