Job Description

As the Recreation Supervisor, you “Take care of Banff” by supporting and guiding the team that delivers programs and services out of all municipal recreation facilities. You provide day to day operational support and ensure exceptional customer service to all facility users.

You have a good understanding of the diverse and changing demands by community for various recreation programs and services and can pivot, adapt and deliver in this regard. You have strong administrative skills and experience developing user guidelines, procedures, safety protocols in a recreation environment. You have experience in financial reporting and point of sale processes to ensure that the recreation services and facility rental budgets are balanced and meet revenue expectations.

Job Requirements

You are an exceptional leader with ample experience in recruitment, training and scheduling of frontline staff. You will be responsible for the supervision, development and leadership of the facility rental administrator, customer services and café lead staff at The Fenlands and offsite drop-in sport facilities. You are excellent at building strong collaborative relationships with local non-profit organizations that results in increased community sport and recreation participation. You work well with a variety of team members including recreational programmers, facility operators, Family and Community Support Services and others by helping them as required.

The hours of work for this position is 37.5 hours per week with shifts being scheduled specifically Thursday to Monday.
