Job Description
The Boss is a bold new addition to Banff’s vibrant dining scene—where elevated comfort food meets mountain sophistication. We are currently seeking an experienced, driven, and passionate Sous Chef to join our opening team and play a key leadership role in shaping the kitchen culture from the ground up.
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure culinary excellence, and help craft a diverse menu that blends local ingredients with globally inspired flavors. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something fresh and dynamic in one of Canada’s most stunning natural settings.

Job Requirements
Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation
Lead and inspire the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Assist in developing and testing menu items that align with The Boss’s culinary vision
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment
Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times
Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
Creative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
Flexible and adaptable in a startup-style environment
