What can you expect?
The Cook works to prepare consistent, high-quality food in various outlets at the Resort. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of food service, presentation, and quality are met. The Cook works under the supervision of the Sous Chef and Resort Chefs, or designates, and closely with all culinary and warehousing departments at Sunshine.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods
Oversee kitchen operations
Set up, cleaning, and organization of work areas
Ensuring that all food service standards, health and safety regulations, and quality controls are followed consistently and thoroughly
Able to be hands on in food preparation and serving, when needed
May assist with menu planning, food portions, estimates of requirements and costs.
Assisting with monitoring and ordering supplies.
Job Requirements
Requirements
Experience as a cook in a fast-paced food service is an asset
Previous food handling / food safety permits are an asset
Strong communication & organization skills
Outgoing, positive, friendly attitude.
Calm under pressure and patient, able to exercise good decision making.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays)
Must be neat, punctual, and dependable.
