Overview

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Fund Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in executing our fund development plan. The primary objective is to execute on diverse funding opportunities that bolster RMA activities and strategic growth.

This role places significant emphasis on grant writing, fundraising event planning and delivery, donor management, and comprehensive reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and deliver RMA’s “Ability” fundraising events and activities
Manage grant applications, proposals, and reporting.
Support donor management activities – identification, cultivation, and maintenance – including donor recognition.
Oversee third-party fundraising campaigns, ensuring proper representation and fund management.
Manage the Canada Helps donor system, handling donation details and tax receipts.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Needs (must-have skills and experience to succeed in this role):

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in fundraising, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
Strong work ethic, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to stay on task and focussed in a dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Collaborative team player who works respectfully and professionally with staff and stakeholders.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Mandatory background check is required.
Proficiency in English.

Preferred (nice-to-have qualifications that would be a bonus but aren’t required):

Familiar with digital fundraising campaigns.
Familiarity with donor management systems, particularly Canada Helps.
Active participation in outdoor recreation.
Familiarity with disabilities-related matters.
