Job Description
As our Operations Assistant Manager, you will help orchestrate the smooth day-to-day operation of tours, staff, vehicles, and work sites.
We are looking for a “first in, last out” passionate and responsible individual who is willing to wear any hat necessary. You’ll even be out in the field guiding tours when needed.
This is a year-round, full-time position with an emphasis on working as much as required during peak summer months in Banff.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistical Oversight: Lead and exemplify Radventures’ day-to-day operations. By meticulously organizing and assigning staff, vehicles, resources, and routes, you will predictably and safely set our team up for success in the field.
Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a customer-focused attitude at all times, whether interacting directly with guests or ensuring equipment is in excellent condition, to uphold Radventures’ reputation as Banff’s top-rated tour operator.
Team Leadership: Support, manage, and bridge communication between our teams of guides, detailers, reservations, and management as needed.
Flexibility: Demonstrate enthusiasm and leadership in all tasks, from picking up trash to providing top-tier guided experiences in the stunning mountains of Banff National Park. Be motivated to grow and understand all aspects of the business, stepping in wherever required.
Tour Guiding: Serve as a fully functioning guide when needed, leading guests on Radventures’ award-winning day and multi-day tours.
Note: This is a full-time, year-round role. Weekly hours will vary, with higher demand during summer months and reduced hours in shoulder seasons. The role requires on-site presence at our Banff office. Weekend availability is essential, and extended leave is not available between June and September.
