Job Description

MaxECS provide Early Childhood Services to 3-5 year olds requiring additional support in their preschool programs. The Educational Assistant (EA) is part of a team that includes parents, program teachers, certificated teachers, and a therapist/team. This position is for the EA to float amongst early year programs in the Bow Valley to children supported by MaxECS.
This is a school year program. The contract ends at the end of June with the possibility of returning in September.
29-33 hours/week
Start rate of pay is $26.00/hour with potential to increase based on a combination of certification and experience.
The EA will will:
*provide care and supervision for preschool-aged children
*support children’s learning in all developmental areas
*Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
*Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for children.

Job Requirements

*Level 3 ECE (or working toward certification)
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
*Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
*Understanding and experience with inclusive practices in early childhood education
*Ability to adapt to to the needs of individual children and provide differentiated instruction
*Team oriented and comfortable working with a variety of early year programs.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
*Must apply for and provide a clear Police clearance and vulnerable sector check prior to first day of employment
*Must be able to work legally in Canada (Please do not apply if your are currently residing outside Canada)
