Job Description
The Daycare at The Lake Louise Ski Resort is a licensed drop in centre serving our skier families and avid recreationists from all over the world. The primary responsibility of a Daycare Attendant is to ensure an enjoyable and safe stay for the children at The Lake Louise Ski Resort Daycare. The attendant will build positive and respectful relationships with children and parents and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.
Government top up (varies based on Alberta ECE levels) available to eligible employees.
Job Responsibilities:
Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the daycare
Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
Be familiar with emergency procedures
Ensure children are supervised at all times
Prepare nutritious snacks and lunches
Develop & maintain good customer relations with families enrolling children
Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand

Job Requirements
Level 2 or 3 Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certification is required (see website for details https://www.alberta.ca/child-care-staff-certification.aspx)
Previous work or school experience in Childcare and Early Education is essential
All International applicants must have proof of Canada-approved medical examination and clearance in order to be considered for this position
First Aid certification is required
Ability to communicate with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Ability to be calm in a hectic working environment
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
Must be energetic, resourceful and friendly
Cash handling experience
Strong communication skills and a second language is considered an asset
A Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check from your home country or province will be required upon commencement of employment
