Carpenter (NOC 72310)
Job Description:
Black Bear Builders is seeking skilled and motivated carpenters to join our team in Banff, Alberta. As part of our growing company, you will play a crucial role in various residential and commercial construction projects, delivering high-quality craftsmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
Cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, steel, and other materials as required.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
Repair, maintain, and renovate wood structures and fixtures as necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
Proven experience in carpentry, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
Ability to work from detailed instructions and plans.
Good physical stamina to handle demanding tasks in varied weather conditions.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Familiarity with workplace safety protocols is essential.
