Job Description
Primary Function: As an Assistant Banquet Manager at CRMR, the primary goal is to oversee planning and flawless execution of hotel events and functions, to lead banquet team to deliver outstanding guest experiences, to ensure seamless banquet and conference room operations and to aid the Food and Beverage Manager in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee planning and flawless execution of hotel events and functions.
• Lead banquet team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Ensure seamless banquet and conference room operations.
• Manage full setup and teardown of venue spaces as per BEOs.
• Supervise banquet staff during events and functions.
• Ensure dietary restrictions accommodated.
• Maintain budget controls through accurate billing.
• Attend BEO meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Create staff schedules that meet guest service standards.
• Assist with payroll, gratuities, tip outs.
• Coach and mentor banquet service staff
• Model exemplary guest service skills and standards
• Proactively address any staff performance issues
• Manage linen, supplies, liquor, wine, beer stock.
• Act as a Floor Manager in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Perform any other duties as required or communicated by the Food & Beverage Manager/Hotel Manager.
Requirements/Experience:
• Previous F&B supervisory/management experience, particularly in banquets within a hotel/resort setting
• Exceptional eye for detail and client service
• Strong leadership, coaching and delegation abilities.
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Comfort learning new systems and processes.
• Capability to handle guest and staffing issues with guidance from the General Manager and HR.
• Ability to work all shifts and provide support during daily service, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets as needed.
