Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician to join our team based in Canmore. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings. You will work independently and with a team to ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, panels, circuit breakers, lighting, and electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide effective solutions.
Ensure all work is compliant with Alberta Electrical Code, safety standards, and regulations.
Perform inspections of electrical systems and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and clients.
Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work, including reports, service records, and safety inspections.
Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition.
Adhere to safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Job Requirements
Valid Journeyman Electrician certification recognized in Alberta.
In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in Alberta.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
Own a set of hand tools and be able to operate electrical test equipment.
