Position Overview
We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our maintenance team. You will be doing maintenance in 5 different locations around Canmore and 1 in Banff. This includes the following properties: Northwinds by Basecamp, Basecamp Resorts Canmore, Basecamp Lodge Canmore, Basecamp Suites Canmore, Lamphouse by Basecamp and Basecamp Suites Banff.
Wage: $22 per hour
Full-Time/Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities
– Help manage hot tubs (testing, re-filling, following AHS protocols).
– Landscape, lawn, flower care.
– Snow-removal.
– Day-to-day maintenance.
– Work with the team to address maintenance concerns in a timely fashion.
– Observe strict safety practices.
– Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
– Respond to all maintenance issues on a timely basis, including troubleshooting and undertaking repairs in relation to guest rooms and common areas. Maintenance issuers may include minor plumbing, painting, and a wide range of repair work.
– Travel between properties.
– Liaise with Front Desk and Housekeeping departments when required.
– Assist on various new projects as the properties develop.
– Observe strict safety practices.
– Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in Maintenance is an asset.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is an asset.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours.
