Job Description
Banff Public Library seeks an enthusiastic Summer Reading Club Assistant to contribute to the development and delivery of the library’s exciting summer program.
**Responsibilities:**
– Plan and deliver the TD Summer Reading Club, hosting weekly programs for children aged 4-12.
– Market and promote the Summer Reading Program, including school presentations.
– Assist with the presentation of special summer events like the TD SRC Get Your Summer Read on Day.
– Gather feedback, statistics, and complete a final report and evaluation at the end of the summer.
– Children’s readers’ advisory and shelving duties as required.

Job Requirements
**Skills and Experience:**
- Passion for working with children and promoting literacy.
- Experience in preparing and presenting programs for children, with a background in music, drama, or storytelling being helpful.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
**Terms of Position:**
- Conditional upon Young Canada Works funding, including:
- Student status and returning to full-time studies in the fall of 2025.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Between the ages of 15-30.
