Job Description
Duties include (but are not limited to):
– Lead and manage the front office team,
– Provide training and ongoing support to staff, and be proactive in the team’s development,
– Provide feedback and performance evaluations for team members,
– Create and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment,
– Ensure guests’ satisfaction from arrival to departure, including maintaining effective communications and resolving escalated guest issues,
– Conduct and oversee front desk duties such as check-ins, check-outs, making guest keys, etc.,
– Verify billing, create room reservations, and process special requests,
– Provide concierge services, such as restaurant and attraction recommendations and transportation arrangements,
– Regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met,
– Work closely with all other departments to ensure the best possible guest experience,
– Assist in managing and monitoring budgets and inventories,
– Ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate has:
- Effective leadership with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 1 to 2 years previous Hotel Front Desk or Reservations experience
- Professional and friendly personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and property management systems such as Opera/Opera Cloud
