Job Description

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Consistently provide professional, friendly, and attentive service to ensure memorable dining experiences that exceed guest expectations, in line with Banff Park Lodge and Crave’s service standards.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly, ensuring all items are served according to company guidelines.
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring orders are correct and meet service expectations.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special promotions.
• Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring it aligns with company cleanliness standards.
• Prepare tables for new guests by cleaning and resetting as per restaurant policies.
• Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate to management when necessary.
• Operate all restaurant equipment safely and efficiently, following operational guidelines.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and security procedures at all times, especially when handling food and beverages.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to provide seamless service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Walk and stand throughout the shift, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs., and frequently bending, kneeling, and moving quickly to meet guest needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations.

Job Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in food and beverage service is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional service.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to stay motivated during busy shifts.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in the English language; a second language is an asset.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexible with working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
