Job Description

We seek a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This position requires a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, as well as excellent team management skills to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Train and mentor kitchen staff in food handling techniques, safety practices, and cooking methods.

Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary to ensure proper stock levels.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings.

Manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.

Address any issues or concerns that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.

Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and culinary techniques.
