Job Description
If you have a passion and love for working with seniors, this may be a great fit for you. Join our team in LTC to help brighten our seniors lives while supporting a dynamic team. You do not need formal training for this position. Ideally you will have experience caring for a loved one, senior, or children. Kindness and compassion are mandatory.
This position is temporary, and we anticipate it will run until the end of April 2025 with the possibility of extending.
The position is hired under casual status, yet you will have set hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (4:30-8:30 PM) with Tuesday and Wednesdays off.

Job Requirements
Examples of Comfort Care Aide duties include:
1:1 time with residents who are agitated, pacing, wandering, or confused.
Helping at dinner time with meal assistance for those who can’t feed themselves
Washing hands/face post meals and helping with brushing teeth.
Assisting to bring residents in wheelchairs to the dining room and return to their rooms after meals and activities.
Assisting to bring residents to rec activities and assist our recreation staff.
Comfort Care Aides are not required to do personal care for our seniors, and function in a companion/support role only.
You will receive a thorough orientation to ensure you are comfortable and understand the Comfort Care Aide role.
A clear criminal record check including vulnerable sector that has been completed in the last 90 days is required to work for AHS.
