Salary: $28/h – $34/h

Job Summary:
As a Carpenter, an ideal candidate will have refined knowledge and experience within the construction industry. You will be taking a senior role on site, helping guide more junior team members and delegating tasks. Clear and effective communication will be demonstrated in this role, with good time management and an advanced understanding of the trade. The job will entail working in diverse settings, in various environments in order to produce steady and functional structures and products. You will have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. All applicants must be able to abide by the strict on site health and safety rules at all times. Note: Possible job share options available.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and install wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
Work with trusses, beams, and other structural components to ensure proper alignment and stability.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to blueprints and project specifications.
Install and secure framing components, ensuring they are level, square, and properly anchored.
Follow all safety procedures, including the use of fall protection when working at heights.
Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion.
Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
This role may require you to work in all weather conditions, inside and outside. Locations of work may vary within the radius of your chosen location: Sourcing your own means of transportation to and from your working location will be required. We schedule our workers on a 40 hour per week basis (Monday-Friday), with pay days falling bi-weekly on a Friday. Shift times may vary, however our usual shift is 7:30am-3:30pm (8 hours). Overtime may be required on occasion and will be paid within the provincial employee pay legislation guidelines.

Job Requirements
Proven experience as a Framing Carpenter or in a similar role.
Experience working with trusses, beams, and other framing components.
Knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work at heights and use fall protection equipment.
Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.
High school diploma or equivalent; carpentry or construction trade certification is a plus.
A valid license to drive and own vehicle to transport own tools and equipment.
