Dear Hiring Manager,
We are Cindy Hernandez and Jacob Chavez, a couple with work experience in Canmore, open work permits (Working Holiday), and active Social Insurance Numbers (SIN), which expire in November 2025. We are writing to express our interest in a position with staff accommodation and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to join your team. We are currently in Chile but are available to travel to Canmore from early April 2025 onwards.
During our previous stay in Canmore, from November 2022 to December 2023, we had the opportunity to work in various roles, including cooking and cleaning, which allowed us to closely experience Canmore’s community, tourism, and work environment.
Cindy excelled at Black Dog Cafe and Rhythm & Howl, where she honed her skills in cooking, barista duties, baking, pastry, and customer service. She was often responsible for running the cafe independently.
Jacob developed construction and maintenance skills working for over a year at Candek. He also gained food preparation experience at Tank310 by The Grizzly Paw, complementing his solid restaurant management experience from Chile.
Additionally, we both worked at the cleaning company Eco Friendly Summit INC., performing Housekeeper duties, cleaning private units and public areas to high-quality standards.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Canmore and are eager to return to this beautiful town. We hope to contribute our skills to your renowned hotel, as we are both responsible, proactive, and highly adaptable. We love to learn new skills, practices, travel, and experience new things, which have equipped us with valuable skills like flexibility, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
