Our Team

Reinira

Career coach

I have lived in the Bow Valley since 2004 and in Canmore since 2011.

I have held many different positions in the hospitality industry from dishwashing to front office, to housekeeping, conference services and human resources and I have to say being a career coach is my favourite job yet!

One of my main values in life, work and personal, is to remain curious; curious about other people and their experiences, curious about learning more, and curious about how I can have a positive impact on other peoples lives.  Staying curious about other people and their experiences has been the reason I have enjoyed being a Career Coach for the last 5 years and why I am not tired of it yet.

Being a big Brene Brown fan I will share two of my favorite quotes by her. “Courage over comfort” and “Clear is kind and unclear is unkind.” These are some of the things I try to remember and live by in my work life but also in my personal life.

Sierra

Manager

I feel fortunate to call this beautiful area home and to lead the team at the Job Resource Centre. In my role, I truly enjoy helping to create an environment where our clients can grow and work toward their career goals.

One of the things I love most about working at the JRC is the variety of people we get to support. Each person brings their own unique challenges and aspirations, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to help them connect with the resources they need. What I find most rewarding is seeing our clients discover a career path that aligns with their skills, interests, and values. It’s all about helping them find something that feels meaningful both personally and professionally.

And just for fun—when I’m not at work, you’ll often find me out exploring the outdoors. If you ever need hiking or ski touring recommendations, I’d be happy to share some of my favorite spots!

Jill

Career coach

I have been living in this area for over 10 years. I am acquainted with the local community and have developed a strong understanding of its dynamics. During my previous work experience, I had the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of clients. This experience equipped me with a versatile skill set and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges, which can greatly benefit our clients at the JRC. The work I do at the JRC aligns with my core values of making a positive impact on society and continuously striving for personal and professional development. One of my favorite quotes that inspires me is by Albert Einstein: “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” I find it both humorous and profound, as it reminds me to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation. It serves as a constant reminder to approach obstacles with a positive mindset and seek creative solutions.

Katie

Employer Services Coordinator

I have lived in the Bow Valley for 2 years and have really enjoyed my time here so far!
My previous work experience within the realm of career support was mainly working with university students to prepare them for the workplace, securing co-op positions, identifying next steps after education and working on application documents.
I enjoy being the first ‘welcome to the Bow Valley’ that many newcomers receive and being able to provide not only job search support, but provide suggestions on connecting our clients to the local communities!
A quote from my dad that always reminds me it’s never too late to try something new or start a new adventure – “I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up!”.

Michelle

Career Services Assistant

In my previous roles, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people, which has helped me build a versatile skill set and a flexible approach to problem-solving.

At the Job Resource Centre, I’m driven by a desire to make a positive impact and support others in their career journeys. I believe in fostering growth, both personally and professionally, and I enjoy helping our clients navigate challenges to reach their goals.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature and exploring all that this beautiful region has to offer.
