Job Description
The Co+Kitchen in Canmore is hiring a Summer Catering Independent Chef from mid-May to the end of September. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing and packaging breakfast and lunch catering orders. Our kitchen is production-focused with no dine-in space, and the role also includes boxed meal preparation and occasional local deliveries.
You’ll work 3–5 days per week (occasionally 6 during busy periods) with flexible hours. Compensation is $3,500 per month (contract role, no benefits). Training and menu support are provided. A valid driver’s licence is mandatory, and a vehicle can be provided for production and delivery use.
Staff accommodation is available, and WCB coverage is included.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Review daily catering orders and production plan
• Set up workstation and prep ingredients efficiently
• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items following recipes
• Bake goods as required
• Count and record baked goods; store appropriately
• Package meals accurately, neatly, and on time
• Label all items clearly with contents and delivery details
• Store food safely prior to delivery
• Maintain a clean and professional kitchen at all times
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Monitor inventory and flag restocking needs
• Complete scheduled local deliveries
• Clean and reset kitchen, equipment, and storage areas
• Communicate updates, shortages, or issues clearly
