Job Description
We are seeking a caregiver to support our family member who has long-term dementia.
We are looking for someone to assist with meals and feeding, light hygiene (washing face/hands, assisting with brushing teeth) and dressing them appropriately. The candidate must be physically fit (able to assist with pushing a wheelchair). Most shifts will be based in a long-term care, in-patient, hospital environment.
The ideal candidate must be patient, compassionate, empathetic and a very caring person.
Completion of a Criminal Background Check is required but will be reimbursed.

Job Requirements
- Completed criminal background check.
- Must be proficient in speaking and understanding English.
- Patient, compassionate and caring.
- Previously experienced in caring for persons with dementia and/or long-term disability in either a hospital/healthcare or home environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working independently.
- Valid work visa and SIN are required.
- Ideally the candidate would be willing to work around mealtimes for the client - evenings 4-6pm and Sunday 8am – 2pm – but shift pattern and availability can be discussed during the interview process.
