Job Description
This position assists with the care of ~30 horses that are used by Parks Canada staff to access the backcountry in Banff National Park. Duties of this position include: exercising, feeding, watering and grooming horses, hay management, tack organization and maintenance, general ranch maintenance, staff mentoring, assisting staff with trip preparation, and trailering horses and staff to trailheads. Successful applicants will be working under a certified farrier. If the applicant has farrier training, shoeing horses would be included as a regular duty.

Job Requirements
Experience working with horses, horse care, riding and maintaining tack. Knowledge of horse handling techniques and safe work practices. Experience driving a large truck while towing a trailer. Class 5 Driver’s license. Physically fit.
