Job Description
Position Overview:
Pastry Chef De Partie supports the Pastry Chef in creating exceptional pastries and desserts, ensuring the highest standards of taste, presentation, and creativity at The Post.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and execution of pastry and dessert recipes.
•
Contribute creative ideas to enhance the dessert menu.
•
Work closely with the Pastry Chef to ensure consistency in quality.
•
Execute and plate desserts according to established standards.
•
Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following hygiene standards.
•
Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies.
•
Collaborate with the pastry team to create new and innovative dessert offerings.
•
Follow health and safety regulations in the pastry kitchen.
•
Participate in training sessions and skill development programs.
•
Support the Pastry Chef in mentoring and guiding junior pastry staff.
•
Assist in managing kitchen equipment and ensuring its proper maintenance.
•
Contribute to the success of special events by creating appealing dessert displays.
•
Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate new techniques.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
•Culinary degree or equivalent qualification, with a focus on pastry arts.
•Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
•Passion for pastry and desserts, with a creative and detail-oriented approach.
•Knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
•Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
•Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
•Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a culinary setting.
•Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
•Ability to stand for extended periods, lift pastry equipment, and work in a dynamic kitchen environment.
