Job Description
Work with Purpose: Spare drivers provide essential coverage when full-time route drivers are not available. Spare drivers help ensure we can provide transportation for school field trips and charter trips. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for retirees, part time job seekers, or anyone looking to make a positive impact in our community.
Supportive Environment: Our Transportation facility is conveniently located in Canmore and provides full facilities to our drivers. Our office staff onsite provide ongoing Safety Training and support to ensure our drivers are equipped with the skills and knowledge to be confident in their duties.
Job Requirements
General Qualifications:
A valid Alberta Class 5 non GDL license. An Alberta Class 2 or S Endorsement certification is considered an asset.
A clean drivers abstract
Ability to develop respectful, strong student management skills
Schedule and Flexibility working with CRPS Transportation:
On-Call availability.
Morning and/or afternoon weekday routes.
Potential for year round daytime, evening and weekend trips.
Compensation: Spare drivers will have the opportunity to:
Cover daily routes which range from $129-$217 per day.
Drive for school field trips at the rate of $28/hr and/or
Drive for charter trips at the rate of $37/hr.
