Job Description
Swim Instructor (Part-Time)
Riptides Bow Valley Swim Club is hiring friendly, patient, and energetic Swim Instructors for the October to June season. Based at Elevation Place in Canmore, you will help young swimmers build confidence and skills in a safe, fun environment. We welcome both certified instructors and students working toward certification.
The Details
• Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, after school (predictable shifts)
• Wage: Starting at $30/hour once qualified, plus full-season commitment bonuses
• Location: Elevation Place, Canmore, AB
What You’ll Do
• Teach swimming lessons to children and youth of various ages and skill levels.
• Maintain a safe, encouraging, and supervised pool environment.
• Follow club lesson plans and track swimmer progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to swimmers and parents.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching team.
Who We’re Looking For
• Certified swim instructors, those currently working toward certification. Or those with interest in gaining their qualifications
• Reliable, punctual individuals who love working with kids and bring positive energy.
• Prior teaching/coaching experience is an asset, but a great attitude is key.
