As Our Demi Chef de Partie you’ll be at the heart of our kitchen, helping bring beautifully plated, flavour-forward dishes to life. You’ll be trusted to execute premium proteins such as wild boar, bone-in prime steak, pork belly, and fresh fish with confidence and precision. Your role is vital to upholding the consistency, creativity, and quality that defines the Good Folk experience.
This elevated approach isn’t limited to nightly service—it extends into bespoke private functions and future culinary events, making Good Folk a truly dynamic place to showcase your craft.
What You’ll Do
Execute elevated dishes with precision, with a particular focus on grilled proteins
Set up and maintain your station to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
Follow established recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality and visual appeal
Manage timing and coordination effectively during high-volume service
Handle premium proteins confidently, mastering cooking temperatures, resting techniques, and proper doneness
Communicate clearly and collaborate seamlessly with your kitchen team
Assist with prep work, restocking, and inventory management as needed
Uphold strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols throughout all kitchen operations

Job Requirements
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-end or elevated dining kitchen, preferred.
Proven expertise working the grill and hot line, with a strong understanding of protein cookery
Exceptional knife skills, attention to detail, and a precise sense of timing
Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused under pressure
A sharp eye for detail, both in preparation and presentation
A collaborative, team-first attitude with a genuine desire to learn and grow
Passion for bold Canadian flavours and thoughtfully sourced ingredients
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs
