Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Shop Manager to oversee daily operations within our workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. You will be utilizing technical skills to ensure smooth shop functioning and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the shop team to ensure productivity and safety standards are met
Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring proper use of hand tools and power tools
Manage inventory levels of supplies, tools, and materials needed for operations
Schedule work shifts, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines
Enforce safety policies and conduct regular safety inspections to prevent accidents
Provide training and mentorship to team members on equipment use, safety procedures, and best practices
Collaborate with other departments to facilitate workflow and address operational issues promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop environment
Design graphic elements for merchandise
Edit and update our website
Lead tour groups on bicycle
Plan guided trips and experiences
Administer Emergency First Aid

Job Requirements

Be profficiant with BRM, Lightspeed and other POS used in renting and operating
Marketing and graphic design
Website design
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team in a workshop or similar setting
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong communication skills for coordinating with staff and other departments
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement in shop operations
