Job Description

Banff Adventures is currently recruiting for the position of Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This position is a key part of the Banff Adventures Group with a focus on directing a wide cross-section of the marketing and communication needs for all brands of the organization: Banff Adventures, The Banff Canoe Club & Banff Fishing.

Developing and implementing short and long-term marketing strategies and advertising campaigns
Develop a social media strategic plan including:

Creating and capturing daily content for all of Banff Adventures Group Social Media platforms
Distribute content across all relevant channels including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest.
Working with content creators
Assisting with research of media targets and social media influencers to connect with.
Scheduling, reposting, and monitoring social content

Maintain company websites and other digital listings
Implement and monitor Google ad campaigns, based on agreed budgets
Investigate AI GEO trends and how to implement across businesses
Utilizing graphic design expertise to execute projects and to create visually captivating graphics, animations, and layouts across a diverse range of digital and print media

Assist in determining the feasibility and development of products, brands, or services:

Researching, analyzing and summarizing market trends
Studying competitors market behaviour and strategies; and keeping up-to-date on industry activities and trends.
Development of marketing collateral
Preparing detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual market reports in order to present current and forecasted data
Ensure excellent sales/ customer service is maintained by all companies. Assist Management with sales training for teams

Manage day-to-day communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives are executed in alignment to briefs, delivered on time and on budget.
Conduct seasonal site visits and meet with Operations teams to discuss seasonal needs and identify opportunities.
Assist with sourcing feature opportunities and maintaining a content library.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
Develop business strategies to increase market share, expand store traffic and optimize profitability. Contribute to creative brainstorms and strategic planning.
Drive customer service excellence in every aspect of the store operation, including implementing sales incentives
Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors – research and report on potential strategic relationships
Liaising with industry partners, resort partners, and stakeholders to coordinate & book comprehensive FAM itineraries.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 2+ years in marketing, project management or communications
Experience in the tourism industry is preferred.
Post Secondary education (Degree or diploma) in Marketing, Business, Arts, Communications or Tourism (combination of equivalent experience/education will be considered)
Strong experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams required.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders including internal and external teams and vendors.
Must have the ability to plan, organize and execute work details on time and on budget.
Proven experience analyzing data to identify trends, extract actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Strong “can-do,” attitude with willingness to be flexible and adaptable.
Ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
Strong commitment to building positive working relationships.
Ability to occasionally travel as needed
Resourceful, with a curiosity to solve problems and create new solutions.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Sense of urgency to complete job duties accurately and in a timely manner.
Practical experience working with social networks and platforms, including Facebook, X, Tiktok, lnstagram, blogs, YouTube, and Vimeo.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Coachability and willingness to take direction are essential.
