Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and people-focused Retail Operations Lead to support daily operations in our specialty board game retail store.
This is a senior retail role for someone who loves both strong operational systems and genuine customer interaction. You love board games and can enthusiastically talk to our customers about the next new game they will love.
You’ll play a key role in inventory management, merchandising, and store operations — while also helping create an engaging, welcoming environment for our tabletop gaming community.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2+ years retail experience (required)
Experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control
Experience coordinating or supporting events preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working independently and making operational decisions
Confidence with POS systems and cash handling
Knowledge of tabletop gaming culture and products strongly preferred
Shopify experience an asset
Basic social media content creation skills required
Key Responsibilities include:
Open and close the store independently
Maintain high standards of store organization and presentation
Ensure a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all customers
Assist with ordering and receiving and process inventory accurately
Monitor stock levels and manage restocking
Create engaging and visually appealing product displays
Identify trends, hot titles, and slow-moving stock
Deliver exceptional, personalized customer service
Confidently recommend games based on player experience and interests
Assist in planning and coordinating tabletop gaming events
Monitor tabletop gaming trends and new releases
Create and post engaging social media content as needed
